A winter 30th birthday bash...

One of my dearest friends recently turned 30 so a few of us got together to celebrate!  I made her cake and the theme of the party wintery since her birthday is in December!
I made detailed fondant snowflakes to decorated the cake along with a large bow and 30 topper...I found this beautiful cake idea on Pinterest from www.pinkcakebox.com

Here is the tablescape before the yummy Mexican food got there!  The banner on the front of the table has "Holly is 30!" on it...

Some of the details of the tablescape...

Each guest table had a winter themed centerpiece...each one a little different from the other...all featured snowflakes, candles and sparkly Christmas ornaments.

Green and blue football cake...

A sweet little boy recently turned seven and wanted a football birthday party...His mom asked me to make a cake for him and he had much imput...LOL!  He knew what he wanted and asked for this cake and wanted it in blue and green! Hope he had a great day!

A winter wonderland first birthday...

I was asked to make a cake first birthday cake by a sweet friend of mine...they had an idea in mind that they found on Pinterest so this is what we ended up with... a winter "one"derland!

I made sugar cookies to decorate around the outside of the red velvet cake with cream cheese icing...
This was the baby's smash cake made to look like a peppermint.  I also made the cake bases for each each cake out of melted peppermints....too cute!

Here are few close up pictures of the decorated sugar cookies they ordered for the party as well.
Here are some pictures from the actual party with the cake completely decorated with the lollipops!
Didn't she do a fabulous job styling the tablescape for the party??!!! Love it!

A cowboy cake...

This was a cake that was ordered for a little boy who wanted a cowboy cake.  I made a huge buckle with his name on it as the feature item...
Each letter was hand cut and placed on the embellished "belt buckle"
The top layer was designed to look like a cowboy bandana wrapped with a rope.  The bottom layer was textured like denim to hold the belt and buckle...
Of course, what every cowboy cake needs is a cowboy hat to top it off!
Finishing touches included a huge sheriff's badge with the child's age on it....He loved his cake! Yay!

A little baseball cake...

This baseball themed cake was made for a sweet little boy who was moving away.  He likes baseball so I decided to go that route...He and his family are truly missed around our town!

Peace out, girl cake

I was asked to make a cake for a sweet little girl who loves zebra and peace signs so this is what I came up with for her 8th birthday cake!

Lots of girly details went into this very bright and wild cake...

Each peace sign was cut out by hand...someone needs to make a peace sign cookie cutter! I would so buy it!!!

Christmas tree button cake

One of my friends was having an open house for her floral design shop and requested a whimsical Christmas cake to serve her guests...I got the idea from Pinterest which originally came from mycakeschool.com...really cool website and very informative.

I made the "buttons" from colored fondant and "threaded" them with icing...I think it turned out really cute and matched her decor perfectly!

Turquoise and Black wedding cake and cupcakes

This cake and cupcakes were made for a sweet couple in turquoise and black detail.  The top layered cake was white cake with turquoise icing with black swirling detail.
The bride provided the precious cake topper highlighting the groom's interest in fishing...
Little fondant flowers top some of the 100 cupcakes provided for the guests of their wedding.

He's past the "40 yard line"... my husband's 40th birthday cake

My husband celebrated his 40th birthday during football season this year and since he's a football coach, what better way to celebrate but with a football cake!!

Pennants proclaim the 40th year for the coach while it's topped with a cub paw...

The bottom layer of the cake is a twist on a football field with each yard marker only being the 40th!
