Bling, Bling...she got the Ring! A sparkling bridal shower

This was a shower that was a long time acomin'...I did this shower for one of my sweet teacher friends who was getting married in April.  We were all so very excited when he FINALLY popped the question!  My friend is very blingy so I knew just what her shower needed to look like! LOTS OF BLING!!
Little "diamonds" were scattered all over the table and I even had some dangling from the light fixture...check out the top picture.  I glued about a million little rhinestones to this wooden "B" to make it extra blingy...I think she used it at the actual wedding.  How cool!

Several marvelous bakers brought their fabulous desserts for all to enjoy.  We had four very different desserts to choose from: Italian Cream Cake, Apricot Glazed Pound Cake, Chocolate Cake and Fruit topped Cheesecake.  I made that one...I will need to confess that I tried them ALL! Yummy!

Of course, what's a good dessert without a really good cup of coffee!
And they lived Happily Ever After....

Art Party fun.....

This party was by far the most fun to put together thus far!!  It was an art party designed around a sweet little two year old who loves to create art on her easel at home.  This is the food table which I placed in the middle of the room as a focal point.  Above it hung a beautiful rainbow of balloons with colorful tulle bunting stretched out across the ceiling.

Here are the Paint Splattered Marshmallow.  All of the kiddos loved them!  And of course, we had to have ART EASELS!!  As each child entered the room, they were lead to a "clothesline" of aprons hanging for them to choose from.  Once they chose their favorite color apron, they were then provided fabric markers and allowed to write their name and decorate them any way they wanted!
After donning their aprons, they could choose from several activities...homemade playdough, a foam sticker picture, face painting, a color me house and of course...painting a masterpiece with homemade watercolors!
In keeping with the "Art" theme, I decided to go rainbow with most of the food.  Above, our rainbow fruit kabobs were a hit with young and old!

Since we had such a variety of ages invited to the party, I decided we should probably offer something
"baby-friendly" so I chose these Fruit Loop Sticks.
Much of the food centered around our art theme with Pretzel Rod Paintbrushes (another hit with the kiddos), Art Palette Pizzas, PB&J Pockets, Painted Popcorn and of course various types of candies for the kiddos to enjoy and take home!

A little face painting and a fun photo booth to end the art party...They all had such a great time and I think even the parents had fun too!
