Happy Thanksgiving!!
When I completed the princess cupcakes, I had a few extra so I decided to use them to do some experiments in flavors! After filling them with chocolate ganache, I frosted them with peanut butter icing and drizzled the remaining ganache over them...added a Happy Thanksgiving pick and packed them up to enjoy on Thankgiving! I can't wait!!!!

Charlotte's Web cookies
My oldest daughter recently played the part of "Fern" in her school's One Act Play version of "Charlotte's Web". Being the overachiever that I am...I wanted to make the actors something to show my appreciation for all of their hard work! And their directors too! So I decided to make them some cookies...who doesn't like cookies??!! So, since I didn't have a pig or a web cookie cutter...I had to work with what I already had! A flower, a leaf and some circles!
This is the tag I added to the clear bag I packaged them in for each student. |
Here are my chocolate "Charlotte" spiders I placed on each web cookie. |

A paisley baby boy shower
I recently had the opportunity to make some yummy baby boy shower cupcakes. They wanted light blue and tan as the color scheme. I quickly went in search for a frosting to compliment chocolate cupcakes and found it....old fashioned caramel icing!! The two together were like a party in my mouth! I also made some butter cupcakes with good ole buttercream icing. To make them extra special for the expectant mom,...I added some chocolate paisleys to carry out the theme.
Let's talk turkey...
Here are some cookies my youngest daughter and I made for her preschool class. They are basic sugar cookies with thinned buttercream icing...yummmm!! It is a preschooler's adaption from the beautiful turkey cookies from tidy mom. I needed something easy for my daughter to "help" with the cookies so I gave her a toothpick and she "made" the feathers for each of her turkeys!
